Learning outcomes

1.

Students gain skills and experience in digital photography and are given the opportunity to develop an informed understanding of creative digital media & photographic culture at the level of the still image.

2.

Alongside the development of practical creative skills, students gain an overview of professional digital practice & theoretical debates relevant to the history of photography and digital imagery.

3.

Students will be introduced to a range of theoretical perspectives that have emerged since the invention of photography, especially to those identified with major photographic schools, genres and movements.
