Unit content:The major topics covered are: electrical hazards and safety; effects of electricity in human body; electrical safety in hazardous environment; safety in the workplace; safety requirements and practices; technical and safety regulation in industries, commercial and domestic installation and power systems; risk assessment and management; engineering safeguards and controls; electrical safety code for installation including building wiring, product standard certification and enforcement; Australia and New Zealand Electrical Safety System and Standards.
