Unit content:The unit material is divided into 7 major topics, each covering a different renewable resource. These topics include solar energy, wind energy, tidal energy, hydro energy, wave and ocean energy, biomass energy, as well as geothermal energy. They represent the major resources of renewable energy that are currently being used or have the potential to be used. More emphasis has been given to solar and wind resources as they are widely available and are being used effectively in many areas of application.
