Unit content:The approach to learning in this unit is to analyse key challenges facing global food security.
To this end the unit engages with a range of issues relating to food security that need to be addressed such as food production, food distribution, future foods, sustainability, water management, food politics, food habits, global food movements, globesity, biological and nutritional security, community engagement, globalisation, international trade networks, and trade and policy issues. This will allow students to develop the ability to integrate information across a broad range of disciplines to solve problems in applied situations.
