Unit content:Key Topics • The general history, evolution of and context for environmental management • How socially determined values influence environmental management • Key instruments and tools for environmental management • Corporate approaches to environmental management • Government approaches to environmental management • The challenge of environmental management in complex environments • Case study examinations of specific environmental management instruments and how they work. Key activities • A series of interactive workshops to discuss key topics in environmental management • Guest speakers from government and industry to provide “real world” perspectives on environmental management • A one week intensive practical focussing on applying environmental management knowledge to a real world context.
