Learning outcomes

Demonstrate an understanding across the lifespan of the anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology of the respiratory, cardiovascular and nervous systems.

Demonstrate an understanding of the assessment, diagnosis and pharmacological management of disorders of the respiratory, cardiovascular and nervous systems.

Apply knowledge of the basic mechanisms of fluid, electrolyte and acid-base balance in maintaining the body’s homeostasis.

Discuss the various theories related to pain, individual’s response, and the holistic approach to pain management.

Demonstrate an understanding of mental illness, related pharmacological management and associated legislation.
