Unit content:

Key topics covered in this unit include: 1. The principles of the police and crime scene investigative processes applicable to suspicious death and homicide investigations. 2. Reconstructive mock murder crime scene examination and processing. 3.  Detailed knowledge and awareness of forensic specialisms and the value they can bring to a suspicious death and homicide investigations and a suspicious death scene investigation. 5. Application of the core forensic techniques and procedures learnt from the other units, and their application to a mock suspicious death scene examination. 6. Legislation and legal frames works applied to suspicious deaths and homicides and Expert Witnesses. 7. Generation of an Expert Witness report and performing the role of an Expert Witness in a Moot Court.
