Becoming a teacher requires a sound theoretical understanding of the principles of effective learning and teaching as well as the ability to enact those principles in a school environment. This unit allows students to translate theoretical understandings of effective learning and teaching in a real context, and to experience the organisational, practical, interpersonal and ethical demands of teaching
To facilitate preparation for professional experience, the online tasks will relate to the following topics: Reflective Practice, Depth of content knowledge, Variety of teaching strategies, ICT & teaching, Differentiation, Informal assessment Formal assessment, Student issues, School context
