Unit content:The unit content includes: 1. Initiating discussion about the scope and purpose of early childhood learning environments 2. Developing professional skills and knowledge necessary for the provision of safe, nurturing and inclusive early childhood learning environments 3. Providing opportunities to apply theoretical understandings of how environments can be places of research 4. Supporting each other’s learning by providing appropriate feedback and prompting critical and creative thinking about ideas and issues 5. Knowing that technology tools can assist in learning and research
Other notes:Prior to undertaking fieldwork at an Early Years Long Day- care Centre, it is mandatory that pre-service teachers complete or obtain several forms and clearances. Information and forms regarding these mandatory requirements can be accessed via the Professional Experience website: http://www.murdoch.edu.au/School-of-Education/Professional-Experience Completion and submission of these mandatory requirements is essential before fieldwork is arranged.
