Students will gain knowledge of a range of contemporary theatrical and performances modes, practitioners and methodologies

Students will gain knowledge of a range of contemporary theatrical and performance theories and theorists
3.
Students will test this knowledge in a process and public performance which examines one or more of these modes in greater detail
4.
Students will be trained in selected advanced theatre and performance techniques and skills

Unit content:The unit will cover contemporary theorists, practitioners and theories in performance and theatre. These knowledges will include specific workshop training in contemporary theatrical/performance skills and techniques such as Bogart’s “viewpoints”, Suzuki’s physical theatre, Boal’s forum theatre, Etchell’s imporovisation/composition.
