Unit content:This unit is to introduce advanced concepts in control design and implementation. A number of control design methodologies will be studied as part of this unit and their implementation into a sophisticated case study will be investigated.
This unit will establish links with the process design and operation to build an advanced plant control system. A professional software package is used to design and implement the appropriate control systems. Important issues around performance, and efficiency of operation are integrated into the project.
