Enrolment rules

Enrolment in the Master of Veterinary Studies (M1022), Master of Veterinary Clinical Studies (M1223), or Doctor of Veterinary Medical Science (D1061). VET622 Case Reports can only be taken by candidates who have passed or are currently enrolled in at least 12 points of Masters units.

Learning outcomes

Search for, collate, and review publications in the veterinary and allied literature relevant to the case material

Understand the process and conventions of writing a scientific manuscript

Utilize publications and on-line resources to inform understanding of clinical case material, and improve clinical case management skills
4.
Concisely and accurately report case information in a form that is sufficient to document the management of the case(s) and be published

Unit content:There is no formal content for this unit apart the Unit Information and reading materials to assist students in the preparation of the first draft of their manuscripts. In preparation for writing reports students are given instruction in sourcing scientific literature, considering case management decisions including ancillary testing, formatting case reports in line with the conventions of scientific literature and referencing source material. Further guidance is given in response to the submission of draft reports
