Learning outcomes
1.
Identify and explain different process control systems, along with the major components and inter-relationships.
2.
Analyse and evaluate dynamic systems by using computer-based simulation tools (Simulink, MATLAB).
3.
Interpret and apply specialised engineering knowledge to demonstrate computer-based measurement and control (via LabVIEW and Experion).
4.
Identify and apply continuous or discrete time control to continuous time systems.
5.
Demonstrate and characterise stereotypical responses of systems, with and without feedback control.
