Unit content:

This unit will cover the diverse range of theories associated with social enterprise and social innovation and examine contemporary debates and differences of opinions on this increasingly important field. Topics such as social impact (including high impact nonprofits) will be accompanied by consideration of the blurring of the boundaries between nonprofit and for profit organisations. The role of innovation and disruption, as well as new organisational forms will be covered at both the strategic and operational levels. Governance in the changing environment, collaboration and partnership and inspiring leadership from individuals will also be explored.
