Students who have successfully completed NUR154 Human Structure and Function 2 may not enrol in this unit for credit.
Enrolment in Bachelor of Nursing. Completion of NUR111 The Healthy Human Body 1 or NUR149 Human Structure and Function 1.

Describe and explain the respiratory system, the mechanics and control of gas exchange

Explain the components of blood, haemostasis and replacement

Describe the anatomy and physiology of the cardiovascular system and demonstrate an understanding of its regulation and interaction with the respiratory and renal systems

Describe the anatomy and physiology of the central, peripheral and autonomous nervous systems and discuss their role in homeostasis.

Discuss the role of sleep and pain.

Describe the anatomy and physiology of the five senses.

Explain endocrine organs and their functions.
