Critical and creative thinking: Students learn how to collect, analyse and evaluate information and ideas on distributed energy resources and demand response integration with electric grids.

· Distributed energy resources (DERs);
· Demand response (DR);
· Energy storage systems (ESSs);
· Interaction among DER, DR, and ESS;
· Technical problems of DER, DR, and ESS integration;
· Electric distribution network configurations;
· Compensators such as voltage regulators, DVR, dSTATCOM, etc.;
· Control systems to improve quality of power delivery;
Aggregators to manage DER, DR, and ESS.
