Enrolment rules
Students who have successfully completed ENV523 Environmental Science Research Methods or ENV683 Advanced Environmental Science Research Methods may not enrol in this unit for credit.
Enrolment in Honours or a graduate-level (AQF level 9) course or Bachelor Environmental Science.

Unit content:This unit covers the following specific areas:
• Designing and preparing research proposals
• Using the literature for devising and evaluating research
• Critical review of the literature
• Theoretical underpinning of research methodology and problem-solving
• Critical thinking
• Oral communication skills
• Thesis writing, abstracts and research design
• Poster preparation and presentation
• Instruction on key practical skills used in conducting research, such as computer packages, internet resources, and library facilities.
