Learning outcomes
1.
Understand the basics of measurement and interpretation of rates of chemical reactions,
2.
Plan experimental procedures required to obtain reliable kinetic data for a reaction of interest and determine the most suitable conditions to achieve the fastest rate,
3.
Use the kinetic data to propose reaction mechanisms,
4.
Use experimental data and kinetic models based on batch tests to model continuous unit operations relevant to chemical, mineral processing and extractive metallurgical plants.
