Unit content:Topic 1 Project Management and the Fundamentals – students will examine some of the basic concepts of Project Management and the key terms. It is recognised that project management is a social science with “varied views” on what constitutes a project and what the stakeholder objectives are that require to be met to achieve project success
Topic 2 Project Management Processes – integration - Project planning is an important aspect which has a primary purpose to ‘get in control’ in order to set and prioritise objectives, identify resource constraints, improve efficiency, to act as a communication tool, motivate project members, reduce uncertainty and increase understanding. Projects should be undertaken to meet strategic objectives of the organisation and are unique when compared to operations planning.
