Additional information
This unit provides an advanced level of study in the biology, ecology, management and conservation of marine wildlife. Students will build on their introduction to animal diversity and ecology from the prerequisite units to gain in depth understanding of how marine wildlife solve the problems of life, and the special challenges in managing their populations sustainably. Particular emphasis will be given to the application of research skills to gaining new knowledge in the biology and management of marine wildlife.
This will cover 6 core areas relevant to marine wildlife. * Secondary adaptations to aquatic life * Adaptations to pelagic life * Bio-logging and -telemetry * Conservation and management of marine wildlife in theory and practice.
