Learning outcomes

1.

Demonstrate mastery of the key concepts and confidently exercise the key skills in the three strands of the Western Australian Curriculum: Science PP-10; Science Understanding, Science Inquiry Skills and Science as a Human Endeavour.

2.

Use the Western Australian Curriculum: Science to develop a logical sequence of science lessons which promote a high level of engagement and learning by primary science students in a supportive and safe learning environment.  

3.

Design and deliver a primary science lesson which is informed by theory and research into effective science teaching strategies, addresses alternate conceptions of science and incorporates planned formative assessment, including the use of questioning to evaluate student learning of science concepts and processes.
