Learning outcomes

Describe the signs, symbols and rituals of key sacred liturgies within the Catholic tradition and their scriptural and historical origins.
2.
Communicate the meaning of the key terms: ‘grace’, ‘liturgy’, ‘mystery’, ‘ritual’, ‘sacramentality’, ‘sacrament’, ‘salvation' and ‘transubstantiation’.
3.
Plan a visual presentation explaining the application and significance of one of these Sacraments: Reconciliation, Eucharist or Confirmation to the Christian life.
4.
Reflect critically on the professional expectations of staff to be supportive of or teach sacraments and liturgies in Catholic schools.
