Unit content:

This unit is delivered as timetabled content (mainly in VET684-03) coupled with 14 weeks of extramural
placements that builds upon and consolidates the professional skills that are required by veterinarians. Key
topics addressed include communication skills, business skills applicable to veterinary work, employability, selfcare
and curriculum vitae writing.
The 14 weeks of extramural placements must be completed by the end of VET684-09 (5th year). A minimum of
6 weeks of placements (including associated documentation) must have been completed by the end of
VET684-03 (4th year).
