  2. Application layer communication models and protocols, such as DHCP, HTTP, FTP, SSH
  3. UDP and TCP transport layer protocols
  4. IP network layer protocol, IP addressing and subnetting
  5. Data link layer and physical layer, communication medium sharing and access control
  6. Introduction to wireless networks, technologies and medium access
  7. Ethernet protocol, switching and cabling, Virtual LANs (VLANs), inter-VLAN routing
  8. Interior routing protocols, distance vector and link state routing, static and dynamic routing
