Learning outcomes
1.
Demonstrate enough proficiency in the Hebrew language to be able to translate any of the Old Testament Biblical texts into English with the help of lexical aids
2.
Demonstrate proficiency in Hebrew vocabulary to an intermediate level by recalling the most common words in their various forms.
3.
Display skills required to analyse any Hebrew text grammatically, without memory or lexical aids
4.
Demonstrate the ability to critically interpret Old Testament texts in depth through knowledge of Hebrew.

Unit content:• Hebrew grammar contained in Lessons 28-55 of the Textbook (pp. 133-231).
• ? Hebrew vocabulary: words 201-415 in the most frequently used in the Hebrew Bible list. These are listed in the Textbook pp. 415-420.
• Translation of several texts from the Hebrew Bible (from Genesis, Psalms, Kings, Deuteronomy).
