Learning outcomes

1.

Identify and develop a repertoire of teaching strategies that are responsive to the complex learning strengths and needs of students from diverse linguistic, cultural, religious and socioeconomic backgrounds.

2.

Differentiate in terms of teaching, ways to develop inclusive educational environments and facilitate access to learning in order to meet the specific needs of students across a range of abilities.

3.

Apply knowledge of international, national, humanitarian and social - that contribute to the development of  legislation, policy and practice in accommodating diversity and inclusive pedagogy in schools and professional placements.

4.

Communicate the impact of culture, cultural identity and linguistic background on the education of students from Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander backgrounds.
