Additional information
This unit builds on the EDN351 focus on how children learn mathematics, and how to teach specific content. The online workbook tasks aim to deepen your understanding and better prepare you to teach mathematics effectively in your third professional experience. In particular, you will be asked to assess, collect and provide evidence of the impact you have made on a student’s learning of particular mathematics content. There will be a before and after workshop to plan and reflect on professional experience. Completion of SimLab and BRITE modules I and T are requirements.
Prior to placement in any school for Professional Experience, it is mandatory that pre-service teachers complete or obtain several forms and clearances. Information and forms regarding these mandatory requirements can be accessed via the Professional Experience website: http://www.murdoch.edu.au/School-of-Education/Professional-Experience and submission of these mandatory requirements is essential before placements can be arranged.
