Learning outcomes

1.
Students will be contribute to weekly online discussions related to the range of contextual factors that shape different forms of community work.
2.
Students will be able to critically appraise at least 7 different stories of community work, understanding the ways in which legislation and policy, audience, institutional context, history and practice form impacts on community work.
3.
Students will be able to prepare a funding proposal to support a community-based project.
4.
Students will be able to carry out desk-top research and write an annotated bibliography designed to review the importance of story in community development.
5.
Students will be able to write an essay demonstrating their understanding of community work in a range of different settings.
