Project 1 is to design a current transformer (CT) for measuring line frequency (50Hz AC). Students will be provided with a magnetic core “part number” on which your CT design must be based. This assignment is to be completed in groups of five.

Generative technologies using Artificial Intelligence (Gen AI): The use of any form of Gen AI is prohibited for the Problem solving Challenges. For the Projects and Lab Reports, there are not any Gen AI to help with the completion of the assessment at the moment. However, students can use Gen AI ethically as per the university policies. In such cases, students should report the use of any Gen AI and reference it properly if they use it for Projects or Lab Report submissions.
