In this unit students will: engage in researching design thinking tools and practices through the use of established case studies and existing projects. Students will work in cross disciplinary teams to explore complex issues using co-design methods and adopt team member roles for effectively managing a large simulated project. Students will explore a variety of methods for thinking about complicated and multifaceted scenarios.
The unit will primarily introduce design thinking methods and then students will use those tools to explore outcomes for a range of simulated projects. This unit will introduce students to industry common problems that will be representative of the complexities involved in engaging in multifaceted projects.
