Additional information
The content varies with each research project. The Dissertation may be based on experimental or desktop research and involve field or laboratory-based experiments, surveys, case studies, policy research or analysis based on literature reviews and independent thought. Thus, this Dissertation provides an opportunity for students to obtain and interpret their own research results.
As soon as possible after deciding to enrol in the Masters Dissertation, students must talk to the Unit Coordinator about a suitable project and supervisor. Depending on their backgrounds and interests, students may do any project in the areas of renewable energy, sustainable energy (including energy efficiency), or climate change management. Students are expected to choose a project that matches the interests of an academic staff member within the University and/or find an appropriate external associate supervisor. Choice of projects may be limited by logistical and financial constraints.
