Additional information
Social Influencing and Change focuses primarily on developing the concepts, skills and behaviours needed to engage successfully with undergraduate study at Murdoch University: critical thinking and argument, research and information gathering, academic reading and writing, argument presentation, self-regulation and independent learning competence.
The lectures and tutorials will introduce new ideas around the unifying themes of 'social change' and 'social media' and facilitate your understanding through guided discussion.
You will then apply the skills and understandings you have gained to independent and group tasks that are designed to extend and consolidate your learning.
Finally, you will apply your new learning through completing assessment tasks that challenge your thinking and allow you to demonstrate university readiness.
