Unit content:
Students will develop their understanding of:
- how texts make meaning in culturally specific contexts.
- literary concepts including genre, form, structure, style, voice, character, plot and narrative.
- theoretical and conceptual frameworks, for example cosmopolitanism, feminism and related concepts about race and gender.
- Students will develop and apply these understandings to a range of activities including critical reading, creative and professional writing, and performance texts.
