Learning outcomes

1.

Communicate knowledge of exotic and endemic veterinary viral, bacterial and prion pathogens, including mechanisms of disease, principles of diagnosis and control, and the associated impacts of disease on health, productivity and welfare of companion animals, livestock, wildlife, and public health

2.

Demonstrate proficiency in laboratory techniques, including common diagnostic procedures and identification of parasites of veterinary importance

3.

Apply knowledge to solve and manage problems associated with veterinary parasites, including in the context of diagnostic planning, animal management and care, and promoting health and welfare.

4.

Demonstrate effective communication with stakeholders in writing, including in the context of consultation, animal management and care, and promoting health

Demonstrate effective collaboration as a member of a productive team
