Formulate a theoretical conceptualisation of a range of mental health-related problems and psychological difficulties, such as depression, anxiety, risk of suicide and substance abuse;
Analyse the various patterns in adult client’s story and infer this information in the context of varied life and mental health problems
Appraise different psychotherapeutic approaches and principles applicable for selecting interventions for commonly presented mental health problems, including difficult human experiences and expressions like, grief and loss, substance misuse, family violence and relationship issues.
Compare and contrast opportunities and limitations of counselling as a response to mental health issue and anticipate the requirement of referring the client to appropriate professional services.
Critically reflect and evaluate your own subjective experience in relation to varied adult mental health problems and other difficult life issues.
