Describe and critically analyse key issues and approaches in numeracy instruction for students with mathematical learning difficulties and disabilities.
Apply knowledge of the mathematical development and the diverse nature of learning difficulties and disabilities to the selection of appropriate instructional approaches.
Recognise and use appropriate assessment tools to identify and specify the learning needs of children with mathematical learning difficulties and disabilities, and monitor progress.
Plan systematic approaches to addressing the needs of students with mathematical learning difficulties and disabilities using evidence-based tools and strategies.
Choose from a repertoire of effective, evidence-based teaching strategies to enhance the learning of students with mathematical difficulties at whole-class, group and individual level.
