Unit content:This unit aims to reinforce the theoretical concepts of documentary production (introduced in SCR102 [formerly SCR300] Documentary) with a focus on applying these concepts practically with a view to formulating 2 short-documentary productions [one solo - one in a group]. PRODUCTION COMPONENTS: Your executive producer will be your unit tutor and within the semester a student will be required to complete TWO (2) short-documentary productions. One will be SOLO in nature and the other will be a collaborative GROUP production. The major GROUP assessment will encompass research methodology, pitching, treatment writing and filming/recording & finally post-editing - with defined roles as director/writer, producer, sound, lighting and camera. The unit is a blend between individual and small group interactive teaching and learning activities
