Learning outcomes

1.

Critically reflect on a range of instructional theories and supporting research and use these to inform the design and implementation of educational experiences for adults with diverse learning needs.

2.

Design and implement lessons for adults which stack and integrate diverse instructional methods, concepts and organisers, providing a rationale for their use supported by empirical instructional research.

3.

Analyse the relationship between emotional safety and learning and demonstrate the correct use of critical attributes of a range of instructional methods designed to create and maintain emotional safety and inclusion in adult learning contexts.

4.

Evaluate and reflect on the research, theory and evidence-based application of didactic, collaborative, visual and ICT instructional methods and consider implications for current and future professional practice.

5.

Research, design and lead a professional learning session for peers on the correct application and use of a specific instructional method in adult leaning contexts, incorporating evidence-based research and practice applications.
