The unit content includes the following key topics: Types of numbers, Calculation, Measurement, Transformation, Congruence and similarity, Use of ICT to expand learning opportunities, Proof and reasoning, Functions and modelling, Interpreting and representing data, Probability and Maths around us.
Students who have not successfully completed mathematics to at least Stage 2 Year 12 level are strongly encouraged to complete EDN110 Mathematics for Teaching before enrolling in EDN114. If students fail EDN110 they cannot enrol in EDN114 Thinking Mathematically. If students fail EDN114 and have not already completed EDN110, then they must complete EDN110 before enrolling again in EDN114.
