Enrolment rules

Students must have (a) valid Green Card for Agricultural Safety (or approved equivalent) (b) completed the farm safety workshop (c) completed driver safety awareness (d) completed animal handling workshops for ANS101. These requirements are normally completed within ANS101 or ANS100. Enrolment rule: Must have passed ANS101 version 6 (2019-2022) OR Must have passed ANS101 version 7 (2023 onwards) AND ANS100 Students that have not completed these units should contact unit coordinator to discuss their enrolment

Unit content:

The main themes addressed in the unit are the normal behaviour and management of livestock, the characteristics of livestock farming systems, management procedures performed in Australian livestock systems, safe livestock handling techniques and safe operation of farm equipment.
