Learning outcomes

Demonstrate your understanding of the principles of civil procedure in Western Australia in State and Federal courts by identifying, analysing and applying the relevant law and procedures

2.

Develop and apply a working knowledge of relevant Acts, relevant Rules and practice directions governing civil procedure in Western Australia.

3.

Apply your prior learning (as well as the material in this unit) of law and legal reasoning to factual scenarios to come up with options and likely solutions.

4.

Apply key principles and practical skills to drafting relevant documents in the civil litigation process including pleadings, in compliance with the relevant standards and Rules.

5.

Develop your ability to work towards logical solutions that take into account procedural, legal and ethical requirements.
