Unit content:

This unit presents students with the theories and concepts that underpin the monitoring and management of nature-based tourism and recreation, with a focus on natural areas. Case studies are presented from diverse ecosystems around the world, offering students insights from beyond the local context. A strong focus on managing the negative impacts of nature-based tourism and recreation develop students appreciation for working and engaging in responsible and sustainable tourism and recreational activities.
