Unit content:This unit focuses on the concept of destination management and the nature of stakeholders with broad community, cultural, social, political, and environmental interests. Students are introduced to, and are expected to apply, project management principles, policy formation processes, and strategic planning models for the ongoing management of a selected destination. The unit provides a platform for students to develop effective consultation and collaboration skills by working together as a professional team in close liaison with their organisational representative – their Client.
