Recognise the complexity of the issues relating to sustainability from the perspective of various stakeholders within the multifaceted tourism industry.
Explain the evolution of sustainable tourism and key principles relating to the concept of the triple bottom line.
Critically discuss and justify the importance of recognising ethical and values-based considerations on sustainable tourism; and review the Sustainable Development Goals from an international tourism perspective.
Identify the outcomes and impacts of tourism development; and be able to recommend appropriate visitor and site management strategies to mitigate impacts on the destination.
Describe and differentiate the various quality control tools being utilised for sustainable tourism; and be able to critique and develop sustainable tourism indicators applied in tourism practice.
