Learning outcomes

Unit content:

This capstone unit gives students the opportunity to put into practice the theory and technical skills acquired during their journalism course. This unit exposes students to the practical realities and pressures of news reporting. Students will be required to work collaboratively and independently in newsroom roles, including as reporters and news production editors, to produce publishable stories and news content for Murdoch University's online news service.

Deadlines are an integral part of news reporting and an being able to work to a hard news deadline is a requirement.
