Unit content:

This unit will prepare students for work in a digital newsroom, focusing on effective news writing, journalistic content creation and the integration of data in storytelling.

Students will develop core skills in crafting compelling news articles for online platforms, utilising digital tools for content creation and production, and analysing data to enhance reporting accuracy and depth.

The unit emphasizes ethical considerations, audience engagement, and the role of data in investigative journalism.

Participants will learn to think on their feet, use credible sources and investigative skill to write clearly and accurately in a world where social media and cross-platform capabilities are all part of the training.
