Learning outcomes

1.

Synthesize professional knowledge and practice to plan responses to the academic, behavioural and social needs of diverse students, including those with disabilities and learning difficulties.

2.

Design and evaluate programs, interventions, adaptations and accommodations which modify and differentiate curriculum, teaching strategies and the learning environment to support and respond to diverse student needs.

3.

Evaluate, select and apply pedagogies which respond to diverse students' academic, behavioural and social needs, to support their well being and safety to maximize learning.

4.

Evaluate and articulate teaching approaches to respond to critical issues, laws, mandated policies and ethical principles in regard to students with disabilities or learning difficulties.
