Additional information

Unit content:The unit does assume that a previous unit in control systems (ENG525) has been studied. However, a portion of the unit provides an opportunity to review this material but understand it to a greater depth and be able to apply and use the developed knowledge and skills with more confidence and expertise. In particular, the unit will cover some main topics including: 1. Modelling of linear and nonlinear systems 2. Optimisation of process model and control 3. Investigation of difficult systems to control 4. Design implementation and dynamic simulation of digital controllers and Generic Model Control.
Other notes:Students are expected to have some knowledge and background in Engineering mathematics and control areas.
