Learning outcomes

1.

Solve problems using the inputs, outputs and important quantities of simple systems associated with energy conversion and/or mass flow, typically found around the home

2.

Analyse simple systems from an energy and/or mass balance perspective

3.

Apply fluid flow and the relationships between fundamental quantities such as pressure, velocity, volumetric and mass flow rates to common Engineering problems

4.

Apply the fundamentals of temperature, heat, energy and heat transfer mechanisms to Engineering scenarios.
