Synthesize and apply knowledge of Year 7-10 secondary school students and learn how they learn through English specific lesson planning, resource design and enactment of teaching, catering for student diversity.
Synthesize and apply knowledge of Year 7-10 English curriculum content and how to teach it, including the use of ICT, and literacy and numeracy strategies, with a focus on catering for student diversity.
Proactively create and maintain supportive, inclusive and safe learning environments, including effective learning strategies to respond to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander learning needs.
Evaluate student learning using a range of assessment strategies, and report to students, parents and other stakeholders in the Year 7-10 English curriculum context.
Critique a range of resources available for ongoing professional learning in the Year 7-10 English curriculum context through unit and practicum experiences.
Collaborate professionally with colleagues, teachers, parents/carers and the community that can assist in the planning and implementing of effective teaching and learning in the Year 7-10 English context through unit and practicum experiences.
